ABOUT THE JOHNSON MBA

The Johnson MBA Program is highly competitive and one of the most prestigious programs globally at Cornell University, which is located in Ithaca, New York. Core Courses

Advanced business fundamentals form the foundation of our Two-Year MBA.

In the Two-Year MBA program, you’ll spend your first year acquiring key business management knowledge that will prove crucial for leadership roles in today’s global, digital economy. Our core curriculum—designed with input from alumni and corporate recruiters—focuses on developing leadership and analytical skills through coursework and core teams, hands-on modeling work, critical thinking, and case competitions at different stages of the core.

By the time you start your internship, you will have finished the core and completed a specialized industry immersion, which will position you for success and enable you to stand out among your summer colleagues.

Immersion Learning

Johnson’s unique immersion program is an intense, hands-on semester of integrated courses and fieldwork in a specific industry or career interest.

Pioneered by Johnson in the 1990s, the Strategic Semester in Operations immersion enabled first-year MBA students to combine classroom learning with practical experience through factory tours and Kaizen projects. This innovation proved so successful that Johnson soon launched immersions in a variety of different functional areas. Today, Johnson offers its unique immersion model for performance learning in eight areas.

PLACEMENT STATISTICS

Each year, Johnson achieves high employment rates in excess of 97% of each MBA class. 

The return on investment is huge given an average alumni salary after graduation of $141,379 with a sizable variable compensation.

Many students started their own companies this year, while many students joined startups and new ventures.
