Another suggestion is to keep a notebook on hand at all times to jot down ideas as they come to you.

How do you organize your list once you’ve collected 25 random items? You may organize your content chronologically, topically, or alphabetically. Duke Fuqua Essay 2: The Fuqua Community and You

Fuqua prides itself on cultivating a culture of engagement. Our students enjoy a wide range of student-led organizations that provide opportunities for leadership development and personal fulfillment, as well as an outlet for contributing to society. Our student-led government, clubs, centers, and events are an integral part of the student culture and the development of leaders. Based on your understanding of the Fuqua culture, what are 3 ways you expect to contribute at Fuqua?

Your response will be limited to 1 page (500 words maximum).

For many years, Fuqua has offered a prompt regarding its student culture, and this Duke MBA essay topic is no different. Applicants should begin by considering a feature or two of the student culture with which they have the most resonance, as well as which are already obvious in their activities and accomplishments to date. Consider this in light of the notion that previous conduct contributes to future achievement.

Of course, the applicant’s three planned activities and contributions as a Daytime MBA student should take up the majority of this response. Given the adcom’s preamble about student-led government, clubs, centers, and events, applicants should be fairly concrete in their comments about how they’ll engage in specific activities, even going so far as to discuss their behavior outside of the classroom and identify specific student organizations in which they might take a leadership role.

While personal development is important, candidates should also express the influence they aim to make over their two years on campus—after all, this is also about contributing to a community.
