The MBA program at HEC Paris is consistently ranked in the top 10 worldwide and is one of the most prestigious schools to go to in the world. THE 16-MONTH MBA PROGRAM 

The HEC MBA is a 16-month MBA program. It ranks 11th globally in the Financial Times Global business school rankings. The tuition fee for the program is € 78,000 for September 2022 and € 80,000 for January 2023.

CLASS PROFILE

The MBA cohort typically represents a wide array of industries and professional backgrounds, providing a truly global learning experience. Students of 50 nationalities attend the HEC MBA.

The industry experience of students, before joining is also diverse, ranging from consulting, banking, and financial services to fashion and performing arts. About 94% are international students.

The average work experience for the full-time MBA is 6 years which ensures that students contribute richly to classroom learning by bringing forward their varied industry experience. This also facilitates peer-peer learning outside the classroom. 

At 34%, HEC has one of the best gender diversity ratios at B-schools throughout the world. The global highest stands at 43%. 

The average GMAT score for the incoming class is 690.

Academics

Whether you choose to enter the HEC Paris MBA in January or September, you’ll follow a curriculum that is divided into two phases: Fundamental and Customized.

FUNDAMENTAL PHASE

In the 8-month-long Fundamental Phase, a rigorous combination of academic training and hands-on learning teaches core business skills. After eight months, students develop the exact skills needed to transform business performance.

CUSTOMIZED PHASE

During the 8-month-long Customized Phase, you tailor the MBA program to match your aspirations and professional objectives. HEC offers a wide range of options including MBA Specializations (concentrated learning in one sector), elective courses, international exchanges, and internship opportunities, as well as in-depth learning projects.

Specializations are advanced management, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, finance, strategy, strategic marketing, and Sustainable & Disruptive Innovation.

MBA Projects allow students to apply classroom-taught knowledge and analytical research to solve a strategically significant issue that is highly relevant for business. 

International Exchanges

HEC Paris MBA students have the option of participating in an international exchange during the Customized Phase of the program. HEC has more than 30 partner business schools all across the world for you to choose from.

Student clubs

Student Clubs are at the heart of the vibrant on-campus experience. Getting involved in a professional or social club offers opportunities to enhance your leadership skills and forge stronger bonds with your classmates, as well as network with alumni and business leaders at conferences and events.

PLACEMENT STATISTICS

Each year, HEC achieves high employment rates over 93% of each MBA class. 

The return on investment is huge given an average alumni salary after graduation of $128,628. 

62% of students were placed outside of their home countries.

The majority of the graduates in the Class of 2021 made a career transformation, with 79 percent changing sectors, 67 percent changing function, and 62 percent changing their location. The majority of the class – 41 percent – changed two of the three elements, while 40 percent successfully made the “triple jump.”

Management Consulting and Technology emerged as the 2 industries in which the majority of the class was placed. Close to 43% of the class goes to these industries post MBA.

About 27% of the class went to Management Consulting alone.

The requirement of an undergraduate degree may be waived under the following conditions:

  1. You can provide a certificate certifying that you have completed your secondary education. You must also have 5 years minimum of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
  2. You are an athlete who has represented your country at a national level.

GMATExecutive Assessment, or GRE score

• Non-native English speakers who do not hold a university degree from a university where English is the teaching language must complete one of the following: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), TOEIC, IELTS, PTE, Cambridge English Exams.

• At least 2 years of work experience
