The “1-year leadership development programme” is a full-time, one-year MBA programme offered by the IMD Business School in Lausanne on Lake Geneva. It is a tailored experience for developing students’ leadership skill sets with the goal of transforming their careers. One of the top MBA programmes in Europe is the full-time MBA programme. Course Curriculum Summary

The main focus of an IMD MBA is on three areas. The first step is teaching them how to apply their entrepreneurial talents in big or complicated organizations. Second, creating leaders for a complicated and changing world who have the drive and tenacity to make a significant difference. Students’ exposure to the cohort, which is incredibly diverse and includes students from more than 40 different nationalities, plays a role in some of that. The third and final step is to get expertise in digital technology.

The IMD MBA programme collaborates extensively with regional research institutions and high-tech companies like CERN. Students who take the course learn how digital technology has transformed industries like marketing. In addition, a two-week study tour to Singapore, Silicon Valley, and Bangalore’s “digital hubs or future hubs” and a one-week programme where participants design, develop and launch an app are included.

About 97% of students changed their function, industry, or geography after graduation. More than about 77% of students accepted high-paid jobs in Europe itself.  About 71% of IMD MBA Grads approximately accepted jobs in the industry.

The mean salary was $126,565 (€ 106,315) while the average signing bonus was $ 36,926   (€ 31,018). Many students started their own companies this year, while many students joined startups and new ventures.

Application Requirements

  • Degrees and Transcripts – Copies of all original diplomas and transcripts, along with the grade scale, for all degrees earned at the university level or its equivalent. Each document must be translated into English or French by an official translator.
  • English Test – A TOEFL or IELTS score from under two years ago (for non-native English speakers who do not have a university degree taught fully in English). You must get an official score report from IMD and upload a copy of your test results.
  • CV – Using the IMD CV template, which may be downloaded here, a one-page resume in English. Other formats won’t be taken, however.
  • Passport – A copy of your photo page from your passport, which must be valid for the whole MBA year. Please attach a copy of each nationality if you have more than one.
  • GMAT/GRE – A GMAT or GRE scores from within the last five years. You must get an official score report from IMD and upload a copy of your test results.
  • Recommenders – Two business-related references who can testify to your accomplishments in the workplace, interpersonal abilities, teamwork, and leadership.

 In order to give them enough time to fill out and submit the online form, they advise entering and submitting their contact information at least two weeks prior to the application deadline. They only accept professional email addresses; they do not accept Hotmail, Gmail, etc.

  • Photo – A digital photo taken in a professional manner without any background scenery. High resolution, at least 150 DPI, 150KB in size, and JPEG format.
