The NUS MBA is a 17-month full-time MBA program, based in Singapore. It ranks 21st globally and 2nd in Asia in the Financial Times Global business school rankings.

The 17-month experience is rigorous and transformative and has several modules. Students start by building a strong foundation with the dual-core (total of 10 courses) comprising 7 core courses that span finance, accounting, marketing, operations, and economics. The 3 other courses – ‘Launch your Transformation’, ‘MBA survival kit’, and ‘MBA consulting project’ are supplementary courses that concentrate on leadership principles, problem-solving and critical thinking. 

Thereafter, 7 electives can be taken from 9 specializations – Finance, Marketing Healthcare Management, Strategy, and Organization, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, real estate, consulting, Analytics & Operations, and Digital Business.

The NUS MBA program give students the chance to spend a semester abroad at one of 62 top universities worldwide. The experience will expose you to new cultures, political systems, and economic environments, and widen your perspectives on international business.

Student-led overseas study trips are organized every semester with the support of the MBA Office. These educational trips provide a unique platform to garner international experience and learn best practices in the corporate, entrepreneurial, and government spheres of the host country. You will also enhance your professional network and gain frontline insights from top-level business leaders and government representatives and an international network. GIPs have been organized in London, Japan, Australia, Germany, and many other countries in the past. 

Case Competitions

One of the distinct benefits of participation in case competitions is that it offers opportunities for MBAs to hone their leadership skills, as well as to demonstrate the mastery and application of their knowledge and business principles to real-life business challenges. Additionally, MBAs will get to network among their peers from other top business schools around the world as well as business leaders from leading global organizations.

The CleanTech Challenge provides a launchpad for teams to pitch innovative ideas, have a positive environmental impact, and have sustainable business potential. 


Established in 2008 by CEIBS, INNOVATEChina provides an intellectually stimulating platform for creative individuals to share their business ideas in a collaborative team-based environment. 


The Venture Capital Investment Competition began in the middle of the technology bubble in 1998 as an educational event for MBAs to learn about venture funding and has continued since then.


Each year, NUS achieves high employment rates above 94% of each MBA class. About 89% of the class found jobs through the Career Services Office and school-facilitated activities. The return on investment is huge given an average alumni salary 3 years after graduation of USD $153,216.

Admission Requirements

  • Education. Bachelor’s degree.
  • Work Experience. Minimum 2 years of post-bachelor’s full-time work experience. 
  • GMAT/GRE. Good GMAT/GRE scores
  • TOEFL / IELTS. TOEFL: Minimum score of 100. 
  • Referee Reports. Two referee reports to be submitted before the application deadlines.

Application Process

The NUS MBA program accepts applications on a rolling basis during the application cycle.

The NUS MBA does not engage any external agencies to undertake student recruitment on its behalf. Candidates interested in the NUS MBA must apply directly to the NUS Business School Graduate Studies Office and not through education agents.

1. Online Application Form

Only applications submitted via www.mba.nus.sg/apply will be accepted.

2. Preference for Programme

  • You are required to indicate at least 1 MBA program as Preference 1 under the “Preference” section.
  • If you are interested in more than 1 MBA program, add another application under the “Manage Applications” section. A unique application number will be assigned to each of the MBA programs.
  • Please indicate your order of preference, as the applications will be processed accordingly.

3. Specialisations

You need to state your specialization preference only if you are applying for the NUS MBA Specialisation in Healthcare Management or Real Estate (cross-faculty specialisations). It is not required for all other specializations (e.g. Marketing, Finance, Strategy & Organisation, etc).

4. Supporting Documents

Please note that you will need to upload the following supporting documents (size limit: 10MB) as part of your online application:

  • A copy of your resume
  • A copy of your undergraduate degree scroll
  • A copy of your undergraduate degree transcripts/mark sheets
  • A copy of your Test Taker’s GMAT/GRE/EA score report
  • A copy of your IELTS/TOEFL report (if the medium of instructions for your undergraduate studies was not in English)
  • A copy of your passport, NRIC, or Employment Pass (upload only ONE that applies to you)
  • A passport-sized photograph
  • A copy of your “Financial Supporting” documents (such as your latest payslip or bank account statement)

5. Admissions Essays

  • All applicants to The NUS MBA program have to complete two compulsory (plus one optional) essay questions in the online application.
  • If you are a reapplicant to the NUS MBA Programmes, you will need to complete an additional reapplicant essay.

6. Referee reports

 Two referee reports are required to complete your application. The two referees can be your current employer, previous employer, or corporate client.
